Where is the Lord God of Elijah?

2Kings 2v9-15 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. 2:10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 2:12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. 2:13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; 2:14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over. 2:15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

Malachi 4v5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse

James 5v17-18 Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 5:18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit

What is the Apostolic Anointing?

• The Apostolic Anointing is the anointing that ties up things, It ties up all Gifts in the Body of Christ.(Teacher,Pastor,Evangelist,Prophet,Apostle)The Fivefold ministry Gifts.

• Apostles are the forerunners, those who are first in the Kingdom 1Corinthians 12v28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Someone who is first will set an example for others to follow.

• Apostles and Apostolic people will be progenitors-- Progenitor is defined as a person or a thing that originated something or serves as a model.

Progenitor it is from the Greek word "genitor" meaning a model for others to follow.

As such ministry is a pioneering ministry.

• Our Bishop Dr C Nyathi says the dominant anointing in 2020 and in the End time would be the Apostolic anointing

We are going to operate as:

Priests

Kings

and Prophets

This anointing is not passed over by birth it is given to us by Grace.

It will be given to us by God's sovereign will-Sovereignty-An Apostolic term.

It means “He is doing what He likes, when He wants, with whomsoever he likes and is not answerable to anyone but Himself”

That’s why before Jacob and Esau are born He stands up and says Jacob I love and Esau I hated, " But these guys are not even born Why God?" , because "I am sovereign, I do what i like with whomsoever i want and am not answerable to anyone but myself”

Samuel wanted to anoint Eliab, good looking and handsome, He fitted the description

But God chose David an ordinary Shepherd boy the Anointing in him birthed an Apostolic Spirit.

It is the Apostolic Spirit that is upon our Father the Bishop we need to position ourselves to receive and operate in it.

The things that are working for our Father the Bishop must work for us

We need to ask the question Where now is the Lord God of Elijah?

I now appreciate why God will appear to someone and prefer to reveal Himself as the God of Abraham, God of Isaac and the God of Jacob

Because they have been tried, tested and proven

When you call on the God of Elijah even though you have not lived in his dispensation but you can use the fact that he is tried, tested and proven to connect with the exact things that Elijah has accomplished.

Where is the Lord God of Elijah?

The Word of God says Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are but he prayed that there be no rain for 3 and ½ years and it was so. This is the same man who could call fire from heaven

This is the man that could shut the heavens and put keys in his pocket, walk throughout Israel and Samaria for 3 and a half years

How many of us have such power in the Spirit?

How many of us can call fire from Heaven?

Characteristics of the Spirit of Elijah

There are certain things that characterized the anointing upon Elijah, Scriptures say God is going to raise up a generation of Elijah's

Malachi 4: 5-6 (paraphrase) Afterwards He shall cause the spirit of Elijah to come upon us again and this spirit shall turn the Hearts of the Fathers back to the Sons and the hearts of the sons back to the fathers unless that happens he will smite the earth with a curse

What is the Spirit of Elijah?

Three Components to the Spirit of Elijah

1. The Spirit of Elijah is not just a man.It is not John the Baptist, John the Baptist was operating in the spirit of Elijah but he was not Elijah.There are some people who have made mistakes in the generations gone by, people like Alexander Dowie then began to get into error to say they are the second Elijah that the bible talks about. When God was saying he will send another Elijah. He was not referring to a man but to an anointing.That’s the same anointing that came upon John the Baptist.I believe that this generation has been set aside by God for the same anointing, they will move and operate in the Spirit of Elijah

2. The Spirit of Elijah is a prophetic anointing that has an Apostolic Function.We need to explore the prophetic anointing with an Apostolic function.The prophetic anointing is the only anointing that can usher a nation into its destiny and purpose.If you have not heard anything about your life or yourself it becomes very hard to pursue destiny and the purposes of God in your life. This generation needs a prophetic Word. That’s why there is a lot of abuse of the Prophetic, the fact that someone can tell you your ID number does not mean they are a prophet. So much abuse of the prophetic in our Nation We need a Prophetic anointing with an Apostolic function that can say hey! stop that nonsense!!!.

3. The Elijah anointing is the only anointing that can confront two Spirits

• The Ahab Spirit

• And The Jezebel Spirit

Ahab Spirit Seeks to destroy the God ordained authority and responsibility of the Home and the Church.

The ultimate goal of the Spirit of Ahab is the destruction of God ordained authority and responsibility in the Family and in the Body of Christ.

Ahab Spirit speaks of weak leadership

The Jezebel Spirit obsessive passion for domineering and controlling others, especially in the spiritual realm. The story of Naboth in 1Kings 21v3 who was killed for His Vineyard defines a Jezebel spirit -Such a single-minded determination to have one’s way, no matter who is destroyed in the process, is a characteristic of the Jezebel spirit.

If there is no Elijah then Ahab continues

If there is no Elijah then Jezebel continues to wreak Havoc

God demands that we transition, We have stayed in this camp for a long time, Its about time we rise up. There are some people that are going round and round in circles

The only anointing that will cause us to move is the Prophetic anointing with an Apostolic function

God has began to shift people,There is Apostolic succession

God is raising people strategically and Generational

The fact that you are there when we are building a 10 000 seater Auditorium there is something that God wants to achieve with you

The fact that you are around when we are planting a 1000 churches means there is something that God wants to do with you

You must receive and work this anointing

Every genuine gift has to enter without losing its Authority, Power and Honour

The Same God who works for Bishop must work for you

We must operate with the same Apostolic Spirit.

The Nature of the Apostolic Spirit

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

1. The Apostolic Spirit is a violent Spirit.

It is a Spirit that fights anything that is not of God, It will manifest in the sons of the Apostolic house

This Spirit does not regard family ties brothers and sisters can fight. Numbers 25v6-11 We should tell each other the truth, Be a brother’s keeper.

2. An apostolic Spirit guarantees Victory. Genesis 3v15

“He shall bruise your heal and you shall crush the head”

If you operate under the Apostolic Spirit Victory is guaranteed.

How can we fail when our father has done this much?

The man that came to David at the cave of addullum were in debt and in distress but they hang around the Apostolic Spirit they became mighty man.

3. An Apostolic Spirit would take you to your destiny.

Those who line up with the anointing will reach their destiny.

Destiny is calling

For Every Elijah there is Elisha

For Every Moses there is a Joshua

For Every Paul there is a Timothy

4. An Apostolic Spirit pays the price for you.

“He shall bruise your heal but you will crush his head”.Genesis 3v15

Sometimes as a son you don’t need to fight some battles. Your father has done it already

Sons have strategies and secrets that they enjoy from the Father.

5. An Apostolic Spirit carries a DNA in it.

Which is the life, the same life that the Apostle carries

6. An Apostolic Spirit is prophetic in nature’

It reveals your potential, it reveals your future, where you are going and your range of exploits in the realm of the spirit

7. An Apostolic Spirit will produce a harvest.

Genesis 3v15. It is like a seed. A seed will always germinate and produce a Harvest.

We need to begin to ask ourselves as this Generation

Where is the Lord God of Elijah?

Where is the Lord God of Bishop C Nyathi?

Where is the Lord God of Tudor Bismarck?

Where is the Lord God of Ezekial Guti?

One day You are faced with the river Jordan, Elijah is gone, You have cried and said My Father my Father the Chariots of Israel and the horse man thereof

There is a time when you are alone, No one can help you, the only thing that can serve you is Where is the Lord God of Elijah?

When you are alone in Afghanistan you need to call upon the God of Elijah.

The question is do you have enough of the God of Elijah to be Elisha?
