Introduction

■The order of Melchizedek was the Highest Apostolic order in the Old Testament

■He was Priest, Prophet and King, these symbolised the Apostolic in the Old testament

■We have examples of such in the OT, Abraham, Moses, Samuel, David etc

■The Scriptures say he has made us to be Kings and Priests unto himself hence we ought to be Apostolic people

■The regalia of the High Priest therefore as Apostolic people speaks a lot about our Apostolic duties

■Exodus 28:2 And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.

■Exodus 28:3 And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

■Exodus 28:4 And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

■Exodus 28:5 And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen.

■Exodus 28:6 And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.

The Stones on the shoulders-Apostolic Govt

■Exodus 28:9 And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:

■Exodus 28:10 Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.

■Exodus 28:11 With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.

■Exodus 28:12 And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

The Stones on the shoulders-Apostolic Govt

■Here God shows to us that His Government system is different from the world systems

■Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace

■The shoulder represents Government of God

■Apostolic Leadership means to carry people’s burdens on us and not lording over God’s people

■Mathew 23:10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

■Mathew 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

The Stones on the shoulders-Apostolic Govt

■The Apostolic anointing will do the following on us

–Greater burden for the people of God

–Impartation of the Kingdom burden to carry out God’s will

–A higher level intercessory ministry as we carry the burden of the Kingdom of God

–Our prayers will become governmental, what we decree shall happen as we seek God in Apostolic prayers

■Act 3:1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

■Act 3:2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

The Breastplate of judgment

■Exodus 28:15 And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.

■Exodus 28:29 And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place,for a memorial before the LORD continually.

■Exodus 28:30 And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urimand the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually

The Breastplate of judgment

■Our Role as priests is to set things in order

■The stones of judgement were neatly set in order on the heart (chest) of Aaron

■The Apostolic Anointing brings order in the House

■That order has to start in your own house

■Isaiah 38:1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.

■The breastplate would also work in discerning God’s will

The Breastplate of judgment

■Numbers 27:21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.

■Deuteronomy 33:8 And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;

■1Samuel_28:6 And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

The Breastplate of judgment

■It is not very clear how the Urim and Thummim (Hebrew-lights of perfection) worked

■But they served to show discernment of God’s voice as they ruled over God’s house

■The Apostolic anointing therefore will

–Put order in God’s house for His Glory

–Put order in our lives in every sphere of influence

–Perfection of the Bride of Christ by his word (Hebrews 6 vs 1)

–An ability to discern right and wrong especially false doctrine ( inward witness, inner peace etc)

The Golden bells and pomegranate

■Exodus 28:33 And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:

■Exodus 28:34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.

■Exodus 28:35 And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not.

The Golden bells and pomegranate

■The bells represents the gifts of the Spirit (where of Gold which represents the Deity of God), pomegranate is a fruit

■The bell would ring because of being hit by the fruit (pomegranate)

■This speaks of the consistent life of an apostolic person, gifted but having the Fruit of the Spirit

■1Co 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

■Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

■Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

So what will the Apostolic anointing bring

–Gifts of the Spirit driven by the pure motives of the Fruit of the Spirit

–Extraordinary manifestations of the gift of the Spirit

–2Corinthians 12:12 Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

–The Apostolic will stand out and reveal the false, the false is characterised by gifts only without character

–Fruits of Ministry will follow us

The Mitre-Apostolic mindsets

■Exodus 28:36 And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

■Exodus 28:37 And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.

■Exodus 28:38 And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.

The Mitre-Apostolic mindsets

■Exo 28:36 And thou shalt make a plate ofpure gold, and grave upon it, likethe engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

■On the mind of Aaron was the signet reminding us of the Holiness of the Lord

■God wants us to have that mind-set in us, that we remember always the Holiness of God and seek after a Holy life

■The Apostolic anointing brings with itself a holy awe and reverence of God

■Act 5:11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

The Mitre-Apostolic mindsets

■Exo 28:37 And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be

■Blue is a colour for heaven

■God wants Apostolic people to be heavenly minded

■Col 3:1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sittethon the right hand of God.

■Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

The Mitre-Apostolic mindsets

■The Apostolic anointing will do the next things

–Focus us on the Holiness of God even in our conduct

–Brings those around us to the awe of God

–Make us to be focused on Heavenly things and not the cares of this passing world

–A renewed emphasis on preparing for the soon coming King

Conclusion

–Lets pray that God places a burden for His work on our shoulders and we exhibit servant leadership

–Pray for an extraordinary governmental intercessory grace (such as was upon Daniel 10 vs 12, 13

–Pray that we may have order in our lives

–Pray for an ability to discern the voice of God

–May extraordinary gifts be manifest through our lives

–May we have the fruit of the Spirit

–That we may be heavenly minded.
